Disclaimer: This only ever happened in my dreams :(
A/N: So this is my first foray into RPFS, and I have very limited past fanfic resume, littered with incomplete fics. So I thought I'd try my hand at a one-shot, which was largely inspired by the "words can't describe" amazing photos of Ms. Liukin that recently went up. Also, major inspiration was offered by skyz fic "To Boston With Love" so if you haven't checked it out, you seriously need to immediately!!! Try to keep the below photos in mind while reading (if you can :) and here's the original link if you want to gawk at the other two (The Hotness That Words Can't Describe). Enjoy!
Summary: Alicia has never been short on words, but after seeing a recent photo shoot Nastia's done, there's not much she can say.
“Ummm…”
“C’mon Leesh! They couldn’t have been that bad,” the blonde asked, apprehension over her friend's response creeping into her voice.
“Ummm…” the newly brunette girl responded again.
“I mean, I know they’re a bit different. Not a ton of smiles and merchandise, but I thought maybe it would be good to do something new,” Nastia explained, hoping to garner a deeper response from Alicia.
“Ummm…”
“Are you capable of saying anything other than ‘um’?! I mean if they’re that bad, I’m okay with you telling me,” Nastia snapped, her agitation bubbling towards the surface. The wait for Alicia to respond was only making matters worse. The blonde noted the strange look on her friend’s face and wondered about why she kept opening and closing her mouth, looking like one of those fish in an office aquarium. After another minute stretched on, Nastia decided she’d had enough.
“Well fine! If you’re incapable of offering an intelligent opinion, I’ll just go ask Shawn!” But a firm grasp to her arm stopped her from making the journey off the bed and out of the room.
“Nas, just so you’re fully warned, there is a very strong possibility that I may jump your bones within the next 30 seconds. Just thought I’d let you know.”
“Wait, what,” the blonde responded confused. And then Alicia’s lips were on hers, soft yet demanding. With a slight tug, she found herself brought down onto Alicia’s lap, the kiss deepened. A soft moan was released as the brunette’s tongue entered her mouth, and for the life of her, she couldn’t figure out if it was Ace’s or her own. Oxygen was becoming a problem, but neither girl could bring themselves to pull away. It was only when she felt like her lungs were on fire that she forced herself to pull away. However the quick rush of air into her body did nothing to calm the burn, and she quickly realized it wasn’t just her lungs, but instead her whole body that felt aflame. Finally finding the courage to open her eyes again, she found herself starring into rich hazel eyes, so clouded with… with something she didn’t recognize. The look only set her body ablaze again.
“So… umm… yeah,” was all the blonde could get out.
“Well look who’s articulate now,” Alicia couldn't help but tease. A bright smile flashed onto the younger girl’s face, still confused by what just happened, but comforted by the playful interaction that had persisted throughout they’re friendship.
“Excuse me, but it’s not everyday that,” she paused struggling for the right set of words to define what just happened, “that someone jumps my bones?”
“If you want, I can arrange to have someone jump your bones everyday. Preferably me,” the older girl ribbed. Nastia took a moment to consider the girl. She’d have to be blind not to recognize how gorgeous she was, but she was so much more than that. She was the best friend a girl could ever dream of. She was infinitely kind, and wise, and just amazing. Looking at the girl, she realized she could easily and happily fall in love with her, and probably already had.
And as she brought her lips back towards the brunette’s, voice barely above a whisper, she replied, “I think I can live with that.”
